Early Morning Movers: Boston Private Financial Holdings, Vivus

Stock futures were climbing into the green as traders brace for what is known as 'quadruple witching' -- when stock and index futures and options all expire on the same day.

Here are some of the early market movers for Friday.

Boston Private Financial Holdings (BPFH)
Boston Private Financial shares were on the move in early activity after analysts at RBC and KBW upgraded the stock to “Outperform” from “Sector Perform” and “Market Perform” respectively. Shares were up 20.6% in pre-market trading.

Vivus Inc. (VVUS)
Shares of Vivus climbed 9% in pre-market trading after Arena Pharmaceuticals announced trial results for their obesity treatment which analysts say were less impressive than those of the Vivus offering.

Syneron Medical Ltd. (ELOS)
Shares of Syneron Medical were up 7.5% in pre-market trading after analysts at Oppenheimer & Co. upgraded the stock to “Outperform” from “Perform.”

Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ARNA)
Shares of Arena Pharmaceuticals were down 15.3% in pre-market trading after a phase III trial of Lorcaserin for treating obesity was reported as successful but trial data disappointed Wall Street as results were less impressive than other competitors in the space.

Navos Maritime Partners LLC. (NMM)
Navos Maritime announced they would be offering 2.8 million common units in a public offering. Dilutive pressure has the stock down 8.6% in pre-market trading.

Huntington Bancshares Inc. (HBAN)
Huntington Bancshares announced a $350 million public offering of common stock after the bell Thursday. Shares were down 3.6% in Friday’s pre-market trading.
