Obama's Ride to the White House Going Local

Missed tonight's Cavuto? Catch "The Deal" right here on FOXBusiness.com

Wam-bam, no thank you, Bam?

Fox on top of a governor's fall from grace and a stimulus package's fall from certainty.

Here's the deal:

It needn't matter that President-elect Obama is remotely connected to the alleged shenanigans of his Illinois governor.

He isn't, by the way.

Here's what is.

The slam-dunk, what some were calling the "Bam-dunk" of getting everything he wanted in that massive stimulus package.

Maybe now...not so massive.

Maybe now...not so certain.

And maybe now...not so easy a honeymoon.

Not because of anything the incoming president has done, but all that Governor Rod Blagojevich has apparently undone.

Don't you find it curious that this downsized auto bailout is hanging on a thread right about the same time the state of Illinois politics seems to be hanging in the balance?

Jesse Jackson, Jr. just the latest player in a soap opera, he says he had nothing to do with, for a Senate seat he had nothing but honorable intentions for...no pay for play. No pay or play.

Unfortunately right now, just mess, and getting messier. For a public that might be getting angrier.

Concerned there might be more good politicians than bad but that doesn't mean giving 'em good taxpayer money...after bad.

I'm not saying this stops the Obama express come inauguration day...I am saying that train ain't an express one anymore. We've got some unscheduled stops along the way.
