Shares of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC) fell slightly in after-hours trading after the company announced fourth-quarter profit and revenue fell from the year-ago period. The results still beat Wall Street’s view.
The oil and gas company said profit fell to $238 million, or 46 cents a share, compared to earnings of $794 million, or $1.69 a share, in the fourth quarter last year.
Revenue fell 17% to $2.42 billion, down from $2.93 billion in the same quarter a year ago.
Analysts were expecting earnings of 3 cents a share on revenue of $2.36 billion, according to a poll by Thomson Reuters.
Shares of Anadarko fell 75 cents, or 1.2%, after the market closed Monday. The stock rose $1.32, or 2.1%, to close the regular session at $65.10 a share.
