Consumer technology giant, Apple, Inc. (AAPL) will publicly launch its multimedia tablet device later this month, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The paper, which cited people briefed by the company, is reporting that the device will not ship out until March and will come with a 10 to 11-inch touch screen.
Apple’s much-anticipated tablet is rumored to be a multimedia device which will allow users to download content online, such as movies, television shows and electronic books and magazines.
A spokesperson for the company told the Journal that Apple doesn’t comment on rumors and speculation.
The stock closed up $3.45 or 1.64%, at $214.18 a share, while shares rose another 88 cents in trading after hours.
