Tuesday was full of good news as the major indices experienced a rare up day, moving 6.41% to the green. The other big story of the day is that Bernie Madoff is to plead guilty to 11 counts with a possible sentence of 150 years. Both gold and oil prices fell and the market finally received some positive news from Washington.
Here are today’s winners and losers:

Office Depot Inc. (ODP)
It was a rare reason to celebrate as Office Depot said that its first quarter of 2009 was looking better than the previous one. The stock moved up 56% Tuesday and closed the session at 92 cents, a gain of 33 cents.
Developers Diversified Realty Corp. (DDR)
