Stock futures were indicating a slightly higher opening following the surge in copper futures on supply concerns after the earthquake in Chile and as traders evaluate the lower than expected rise in personal income numbers.

OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc. (OISP)
Shares jumped 47.2% in pre-market trading after Astellas Pharma Inc. of Japan offered $52 per share $3.5 billion in a hostile bid for to acquire the company.
Biodel Inc. (BIOD)
The biopharmaceutical company announced the FDA accepted its new drug application for its VIAject insulin treatment for review. Shares were up 16.5% in pre-market trading.
Millipore Corp. (MIL)
Shares of the pharmaceutical company were up 11.4% in pre-market trading after Merck KGaA of Germany announced it would acquire the company for $ 7.2 billion.
American International Group Inc (AIG)
Shares of the troubled insurer were up 11% in pre-market trading after London-based Prudential PLC announced it would purchase its Asian life insurance unit for $35.5 billion.
Vivus Inc. (VVUS)
The FDA accepted the new drug application for the company’s Qnexa obesity drug sending shares up 6% in pre-market trading.
Taser International Inc. (TASR)
Shares fell 6.1% after JPMorgan analysts cut the company “neutral” from “overweight.”
